PAINT Teens (S1–S3)

Studio sessions for young people who want the freedom to experiment, develop their skills and explore their creativity.

PAINT Teens is a creative studio programme designed for young people in S1–S3 who are looking for a space to develop their ideas, experiment with materials and build confidence in their creative abilities.

These sessions bridge the gap between childhood creativity and more independent artistic practice, giving teenagers the opportunity to work in a real studio environment while developing their own interests and creative identity.

At Paint Club Ayrshire, we believe that creativity thrives when young people are given the freedom to make decisions, take risks and explore their ideas without the pressure of producing a perfect final piece.

Rather than following step-by-step instructions, participants are encouraged to investigate, experiment and develop their own individual approach to making art.

Every PAINT session is built around five simple ideas:

PLAY

Explore materials and ideas.

ASK

Be curious and challenge assumptions.

IMAGINE

Develop ideas and think creatively.

NOTICE

Observe more carefully and look at the world differently.

TRY

Experiment, take risks and discover new possibilities.

What can you expect?

Every session is different, but activities may include:

  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Mixed media
  • Printmaking
  • Sculpture
  • Sketchbook development
  • Artist-inspired projects
  • Independent studio work

Who is it for?

PAINT Teens is designed for young people in S1–S3 (approximately 12–15 years old).

These sessions are ideal for teenagers who enjoy art, want to develop their creative skills or simply want a welcoming space to experiment and express themselves.

Whether you’re passionate about art or just enjoy being creative, you’ll be encouraged to work at your own pace and follow your own interests.

No previous experience is necessary.
