PAINT Explorers (P1–P4)
Artist-led studio sessions that encourage curiosity, experimentation and confidence.
PAINT Explorers is a creative studio session designed for children in Primary 1–Primary 4.
These sessions give children the opportunity to explore art materials, develop their own ideas and build creative confidence in a supportive studio environment.
At Paint Club Ayrshire, we believe that creativity grows when children are given the freedom to make choices, solve problems and experiment for themselves. Rather than following templates or copying the same picture, children are encouraged to investigate materials, ask questions and discover new ways of creating.
Every PAINT session is built around five simple ideas:
PLAY
Explore materials and ideas.
ASK
Be curious and ask questions.
IMAGINE
Think creatively and develop new possibilities.
NOTICE
Slow down, observe and look more closely.
TRY
Experiment, take risks and see what happens.
What can you expect?
Every session is different, but activities may include:
- Painting
- Drawing
- Printmaking
- Mixed media
- Sculpture
- Collaborative projects
- Large-scale artwork
- Open-ended creative challenges
Who is it for?
PAINT Explorers is designed for children in P1–P4 (approximately 5–8 years old).
These sessions are ideal for children who enjoy making, building, painting, drawing and exploring new ideas.
No previous experience is necessary.
