Our Studio Philosophy
We believe creativity grows when people are trusted to explore.
Rather than following step-by-step instructions, children and teenagers are encouraged to investigate ideas, choose materials and develop work in their own way.
Our role isn’t to tell every child what to make.
It’s to create an environment where creativity can flourish through thoughtful support, encouragement and artistic guidance.
Every session is different because every young artist is different.
Before founding Paint Club Ayrshire, Steven taught as part of the Royal Drawing School’s Young Artists Programme, where he focused on nurturing confidence, curiosity, and experimentation in young creatives. Alongside teaching, Steven continues his own painting practice, exhibiting regularly in London and across the South East, with work that explores colour, gesture, and abstraction.
At Paint Club Ayrshire, it’s not about perfection, it’s about process, expression, and enjoyment. Each class is designed to help you grow as an artist, connect with others, and experience the calm and inspiration that art can bring.
